Through building relationships with the children and their families, Grace Mission offers academic support and opportunities to help children be successful in school and in life.


Grace Mission’s S.O.A.R After-School Program for elementary school students is held at The Episcopal University Center at FSU, 655 W. Jefferson St.


The program runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3-6pm. We offer tutoring and creative play on Tuesdays/Thursdays and tutoring and Big Fish Chapel on Wednesdays. Each day ends with a hot nutritious dinner at 5:30p and children are bussed home at six o’clock. Grace Mission provides physical, emotional, and spiritual enrichment to each child in our S.O.A.R. program.

Under the direction of the Children's Program Director, each child has the consistency of a weekly tutor to help with homework and support their individual skill development. Nourishing meals are served by volunteers. Following is a sample schedule: 

Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday

3:15p - Healthy Snacks

3:30p - Tutoring

4:45p - Tuesday/Thursday - Creative Play
4:45p - Wednesday - Big Fish Chapel

5:30p - Dinner

6:00p - Program Ends
